Christendom

Season of Lent

Christ
paid a debt he didn’t owe
to satisfy a debt we couldn’t pay.
May your Lenten observance
be a loving remembrance of
His passion. God bless.

Oftentimes, we need to pray
not because we need to
change the situation, but
primarily because we need
God to change our attitude
about the situation. (Psalm145.18)

Short prayer: We worship and adore You, O Lord!
For by Your Holy Cross, You have redeemed the world.
The best mathematical
equation I have ever seen:
1 cross + 3 nails = 4giveness.
That’s how God loves you
and me. Have a meaningful
Holy Week.

Peter and Jesus during the last supper.
"There is not enough money
and food for everyone, so
better make sure that I save
enough for myself for emergency!
This is a scarcity mentality. It
involves hoarding whatever
we have, fearful that we
won’t have enough to
survive.
The tragedy, however, is that
what we cling to, ends up
rotting in our hands.
In our precarious and darkening world, we would
have destroyed everything
long ago, were it not for the
light and shelter of prayer.
Every time we pray for
others, we add to the light
and harmony of humankind.
We are also God’s messengers.
We are called to bring the
good news of salvation."

To approach God is to
depend on Him, to make Him
part of our daily concerns.
To approach God also means
encouragement
and to let His Word be our
nourishment.
To approach God is to have
the humility to accept that
we are sinners.
Yet we do not let sin
condemn because God has a
compassionate heart.
There are those who have
eyes only for the gifts of this
world. And for these people
the gifts are never enough,
never sufficient to ensure
their independence.
But there are those who lift their eyes to the face of the Giver.
