The SNE Seal or Logo

SNE Seal or Logo Design Defined and Explained

The SNE Seal or Logo is basically an abstract black outline of a dove flying toward the viewer’s left with a golden sun of many rays as background. The Dove represents the Holy Spirit who leads the group tog serve others. The dove’s eye as depicted by a dot stands for the members who are likened to a small dot; and who, without God’s unfailing love and grace, can accomplish nothing. The glowing sun symbolizes God as the guiding light in all His glory.

The dove was arranged purposely to signify also the letters S (see the dove’s raised left wing), N (the body) and E (the tail) which means Sto.Niño Ensemble—the group’s name.

Through the years, it has undergone modifications. In fact, there was an earlier design which depicts an additional picture above the dove of the face of the Sto. Niño image. For simplicity and impact purposes, however, the image was deleted.

As you can see, the logo may take many other forms for artistic and aesthetic reasons. But the basic elements are never lost, and these are the dove and the sun.

The image was conceptualized and designed by the group steward in the 1990’s.
